For this wine, a meticulous selection is made of the best Cariñena vines that Altavins has in their vineyards. A Mediterranean grape variety that is deeply rooted in the Terra Alta region. Ripe red fruits on the nose with spicy notes and delicate balsamic aromas. Somewhat herbaceous notes and accents of the terroir. In the mouth, the wine shows the character and tension of the grape variety, with very good acidity and sweet tannins. A fresh, complex and very elegant wine. The Selección Cariñena of Altavins originates from vineyards over 90 years old. These are located at an altitude of ~ 400 meters and consist of clay and limestone floors. Aged for 14 months, is filled in ceramic amphoras and the other half in barrels made of new French oak.
